2 large onions, chopped
4 tbs garlic flakes
4 tsp ground ginger
4 tbs oil 3 lb beef round, cut into 1 1/2in cubes
2 1/2 cup water
4 tbs lemon juice
4 tbs soy sauce
4 tsp brown sugar, packed
1/2 tsp ground cardamom
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp red pepper
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp ground cloves
hot cooked rice
Cook and stir onion, garlic, and ginger in oil
in large skillet over medium heat until onion is tender. Remove with slotted
spoon and set aside. Add beef to skillet.
Cook, stirring frequently until all liquid is evaporated and beef is brown (25min).Stir in onion mixture and remaining
ingredients except rice. Heat to boiling.
Reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer until sauce is thickened. Serve with rice.
